Bret Fields is always “living the dream,” and working with him to buy our new home felt pretty close. From the first conversation, Bret was enthusiastic in a way that was genuine, and that energy never dropped even as my wife and I slowed down to wait for the right home. He was instantaneously responsive; calls were always answered, and messages rarely sat for more than a few minutes. Whenever we’d have a question or request, he’d almost always have the answer, and if not, he’d text back “on it” and then actually follow through. He was thorough about inspections, contracts, timelines, and getting as many details as he could from the seller’s agent. After our inspection, he was able to pull contractors on a dime to get the quick close that we wanted. This combination of knowledge, reliability, and efficiency took a lot of the usual anxiety out of buying. What surprised us most was how fun he made the whole experience. House hunting and negotiating started to feel like something we looked forward to instead of something we had to get through. Now that we’ve closed, I honestly miss being in the process of buying a house, which is probably the highest compliment I can give a realtor.
